Default WTB professionally tuned 1.6 AFM

probably not a real common part among members on this forum, but it's what i'm looking for. if you've ended up with a car that had one that you took off hit me up. not interested in one that you tuned with a wide band setup.

$70 at the very max.

Correct me if im wrong, but doesnt that tend to be something that has to be tuned with the car?? So by tuning it with say my car, putting it on your car would render the tune useless...

it definitely won't be the ideal tune for my car, but cars running stock afm's are classed such as to be running at least decently similar setups. so, useless is an overstatement. it could still stand to be tuned for my car but it will definitely be an improvement. people bolt on afm's tuned on other cars all the time and get good gains. the precision of tuning that one can do with a 1.6 afm isn't that great anyway from what i understand...

Honest question then. Why don't you crack your current one open and tune it? Save the hassle, and middle man.

lol @ using an AFM on a slow miata to stay in some shitty class with some organization that you'll never trophy in.

how does a "tuned" afm help you in open loop?

first off, how is it that you're able to respond to this thread just to tell me the part i'm looking for is not worth looking for but you weren't able to answer multiple PM's with questions about your MS setup in the last couple years?

and to answer your question, i'm no race tuning tech or anything, but my understanding is that the AFM is still doing the same thing in open loop as in closed loop. that's why every spec miata race car (up to a point in time when alternative AFM's were allowed iirc) and any other that is restricted to the stock AFM has a tuned AFM and can report significant gains.

i get it, it's not what you're into. just let it be.

How do you "tune" an AFM in the first place?

I mean, this is how I tuned mine:

While I'm certain that this is one of the best-flowing Miata AFMs in existence, it's possible that my state of tune might not work well on the OP's car.
