lol Bryan, i think i have an extra 1.6 one. The thing is you will need a 1.6 belt+pulley, which i have both of. Shoot me a call or PM me if you want them.

Look around your town for an alternator/starter repair shop. They be able to rebuild it in about a half hour for around $50.

I did it with a previous car and the miata. Both are still doing great.

Hmm... I didn't think of that. Sounds like a good idea.
