Default Wtb: SCCA caged race car/chassis

Hi, I’m looking for a SCCA complaint caged rolling chassis NA or NB or a SCCA complete NA/NB. I’m looking to spend under 10k unless the car already has FI/k24/LFX already.

if you have something in between let’s talk. Most important thing is a cage as I’m not a fabricator.

Thanks Harry, I’ve been talking to Ryan, I’m torn about it because ideally I’m looking for a full cage, not just a roll bar with door bars.

A 1/2 cage sure is a good head start!

My shop is located in East Windsor CT, close to western MA. I do not have any rollers in stock but can cage a chassis you provide. I have a few NB shells I can provide but no NA. We specialize in Miata but do a lot of cage work, everything 3d modeled, TIG welded, and done the right way!

Good luck! When I parted out my racecar, the shell was the last significant item left - I could give it away, but nobody wanted to pay even half serious money, surprising when the cost of a straight shell and a registered cage is added up. My name was on the paperwork for the cage, so it went to the crusher with (for liability and nostalgia reasons) the registration label cut out of the main hoop.

Unless you have a totalled racecar ready to swap everything into the new shell, I always counsel newbies to buy a going concern, take the up-front financial hit, and get racing quickly. It is faster and cheaper than build from scratch, and you can get your mechanical fix by developing the car rather than building it.

YMMV though.

Bump for a straight caged NA chassis (or more, wouldn’t say no to a complete race car for the right money)

Last effort I have before I suck it up and spend the money on my existing car…

looking for a caged race car or a caged chassis. Missing parts or complete.
