explain your problem and we can tell you if you need one. and is this on a 94?

The car cranks and idles horribly(sometimes dies), there is a ticking noise. The car won't drive. My boost gauge says that I'm have no vacuum at idle and when I give it gas it makes vacuum?

i have one for 90-93, make a offer.

I'd look into it more before you start replacing parts. If the car had no vacuum it wouldnt be running. What happened before this? Were you on a boosted WOT pull? Idling in traffic? Parked the car and the next morning this happened? ect... Because of your vacuum readings do a compression check and go from there.

Proper diagnosis it's in my nature. I guess he can buy and replace parts till it runs right. :D

Well I had a "professional" mechanic look at it and he says that one of my valves might have dropped? I've never heard of it but it sounds like a good excuse to go ahead and rebuild the engine completely.

A compression test will answer that. Did you check your timing marks? I wonder if it jumped time from a loose belt. 9/10 when a CAS fails you don't run, period. I have seen weak ones but it's rare. Where are you located? Maybe someone can go help you.

I'm in the bottom corner of Alabama. Walking distance to Georgia and Florida. I'll more than likely just end up taking it somewhere...I get lazy when it comes to major work. But I will do a compression test and check my timing marks. Thanks for all the help.
