Well, if you're serious, a guy in Greece by the name of Panos makes these, and does ship stateside.

There was talk of a GB to the states a little while back, maybe lightyear can chime in. |
I gotta say, that targa roof fastback top by the Greek guy looks pretty cool.

they seem to be out of business, would he consider selling it? Tell him to name a price lol! I bet a 1 off would be in the 2500, 3k range |

If you are willing to pay a price, why not just have a fiberglass specialist make you one? A good friend of mine could make one up in two weeks if he had to. Not saying he WILL do it for you though. He makes custom airplane parts and stays busy making parts for rich people. I'm sure there are other people willing to do it.

I’ve obviously tried this. No one nor any company’s have them for sale besides garage Varys which they say is a fastback but it’s just a redesigned hardtop. I have attached the style fastback I am looking for. Thank you! https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...25d844985a.png |

You should look into the Greece fastbacks. Completely functional trunks, no leaks (from reviews), optional t-tops, etc...

OMG that fast back kit on facebook looks amazing!

The Greek ones by Panos seem to me to be the best build quality so far, and they're $2450 shipped, but I've yet to see one in person. There is a wait list into the summer already, so I'd get in touch soon. The autokonexion were the way to go back in the day, but they're out of business. I know of one for sale locally in the PNW. You'll just have to keep an eye out for classifieds if you want one. Lightyear also makes one last I saw, couldn't find any info but dug into an australian aero forum and saw him posting there, found a link to a website of his maybe selling them, emailed the website and never heard back. There's some guy in the eastern U.S. selling them too [EDIT: CCP fabrication], look around and you can find the link, cant remember the name of the site. They sell other fiberglass parts too, hoods and doors and whatnot. Seems to be pretty good quality, iirc he had some initial issues fulfilling orders but got that all smoothed out. needs more press because he's impossible to find. There's the "fastback" that's not really a fastback on Rev9 or some such. You could always try to do it yourself, mine cost me 1500 including all the tools I had to buy. It sucked ass, but if you're better with the work it could turn out well and you could make money making more.

I make fastbacks for NA's and NB's. Depends on how much of a hurry your in as I have just started selling them and have a few on order. http://i67.tinypic.com/15dlp2.jpg |
I haven't started marketing them as yet as I still have to work out how many a can supply per month. Plus shipping needs to be looked into further. The price to send one to the east coast was expensive, but to send a container load, even a part container worked out pretty cheap. I am hoping to have the fastbacks ready for proper production in the next few weeks. I'm sorry if I didn't reply to any emails, I don't check the Lightyear email acc as I haven't set up the page properly and haven't got to that stage of taking orders properly just yet. There is a lot to do, but it's getting close now. At least they are being made and all the little details are being taken care of. |
