Wtb forged rods
He's actually not being sarcastic....I think :P
Example (These have gotten silly cheap):
Mazda 1 6 1 8 B6 BP 323 Miata H Beam Rod Rods 5 230" | eBay
Pretty much every single one of the rods that you see that look like this from various manufacturers are identical. Anyone that says differently is either lying or doesn't know better.
As with any aftermarket internal engine part, they are generally not just plug an play unless that is specifically mentioned. They should be properly checked for clearance and balance, and if off they need to be machined. Otherwise you risk damage when running.

Why anyone would make a choice other than this one is beyond me.
Agreed. It'll take any shop at least an hour to do this, and that's nearly $100 right there. Even if you do it yourself, is it really worth several hours of your time to screw with them?

Indeed it does. And many others do as well. But again, if someone is building a car, isn't it worth the extra $140 to buy from a US company who supports our site and hobby and stands behind their product, besides ALSO getting high-quality hardware and QC along with it?

Pm replied (don't know why the first one didn't get through) also included an offer for some used wiseco's. Don't know what the collective thoughts are on using used pistons but maybe we can gather some feedback.
Isn't the ARP rod hardware kit like $95? If you were planning on going ARP anyway (and why shouldn't you) the Manley's are actually a good deal, since you've got Emilio making sure you're not getting any seconds or QC slips.
