not a blockoff for the intake...i already made one of those. I mean a plug for where it threads into the exhaust manifold.

The only thing for egr i can find on begi's site is an adapter for 94-97's. The thread is m22X1.5.....Couldnt find a bolt or anything locally or i would have just done that.

Call them, they can get you one.

Or go to your local Fastenal, they carry everything and anything. You would have to cut it short to get it to work but it would be fine.

Use the original fitting. I've found that a 1/2" compression fitting fits perfectly over the egr pipe. So you can cut the pipe can use a 1/2" compression coupler with a compression cap over one end to block it off. When you want to hook up the egr again, simply take the cap off and replace it with a ferrule and compression nut to reconnect the pipe. I custom made an egr pipe to go around my coolant reroute with compression couplers and soft copper pipe.

Just to remove the pipe. I know it doesnt functionally do anything but i'd rather take it out than have it sit there doing nothing.

not to mention, if you dont plug the exhaust side, youll have a huge exhaust leak.

ummm, no. You've seen the egr setup on a 99 right? If you blockoff where the egr valve is you still have the exhaust pipe mounted to the intake....it just doesnt go anywhere.

This was sort of why I asked my question, which apparently was misunderstood. I have a 99 and I know exactly what you are talking about. I blocked off my EGR on the intake side by making an aluminum "gasket" that fits between the tube and the intake. I simply left the pipe there doing nothing so I wouldn't have to find something to block off the exhaust side. Apparently I need to fully explain the logic of my questions so they won't be perceived as noobish

Napa sells a metric drain plug that fits perfectly to seal the header EGR port. The part number is 704-1048 and it costs $7.99. They also sell copper gaskets that fit to seal it.
