WTB Lower Left Control Arm
Probably, it's just to know the price.
Cause the lower shock bolt fast frozen there and I brought them to a random mechanic and when I came to recollect the parts, he passed the torch there and made a fucking mess. I'll post picture later. So how much does it worth? |
front or rear?

front
So for the pic... Would you seriously put that on you car!? There is "just" one hole affected by the damn torch. http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/4...87largezy1.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/5...88largevb1.jpg |
I don't miss living in Maine when I see rusted parts like that, I have a good arm ready to go, PM me an offer.

Got a paper from local Mechanical Inspector that clearly says that the arm is good for trash . I'll give this to the boss of the garage where this job was done and he should replace it.
If not --> Small credence sue |
Comes with the territory of snow and salt. It is a shame that it happened, but if he was trying to free a bolt it might not of honestly been his fault. I've had this happen to me before and I usually cough up and buy a new piece since it was seized anyways and therefore junk before hand.
Just keep that it mind. Looks like the dude may of seriously done his best.... You might be able to just weld a washer over the hole unless the metal is too rusted to weld on to. |
No the car did not see any snow or salt. I cleaned the upper arm a little bit and the paint has not even a scratch of rust. When I dropped them, the parts where in a good condition, that's my point. The rust you see on the lower one is in fact because of the torch heat.
I don't understand the using of the torch in all this. I said to him that he could cut the shock, I wouldn't be using it after. Why he didn't cut the just between the shock and the eyelet to free the shock and after that, cut the eyelet in two or three to free the bolt. |
Got one. $30 + shipping. I don't know what it would cost to send there.
