WTB: megasquirt
Open to various options but shopping on the frugal side (hence why I am not buying new). Going to weight many options before purchasing. Let me know what kind of deals you guys can offer! thanks

Which MS for which platform?
I have a MSLabs MS2 enhanced for sale, pnp for NB2s, for 550. LMK if interested. |
Good question, that might be important to know. 2003 1.8L, of course
|
Anyone selling or can anyone give me some good advice?

Advise, you need an ms3 of any kind for your nb2 so you can control vvt. New they are $1100-1200. Used $8-900. Cant be frugal with a vvt car. |
Harry wow, I didn't even see the second sentence of your post. I have my resolution super small so I blame that haha. I am definitely interested. since this is a ms2, will I need to modify it to make it have ms3 capability?

thanks for the advice borka

Look at BOFI racings offerings, just got a new MS3 Basic for 822$ shipped.
|
I've got an MS2 diypnp that's setup for 99-00. You could add the vvt box and convert it to your application. Includes an innovate wideband. $500 shipped and it's yours.
|
FYI pinout for 99-00 is different to 01-05 as far as I know.

Ms3 basic $889 when converting gbp to usd on google And ms3 mini $664 How did you pay $822? These are excellent prices. I'm not sure why Rev sells the same ms3 basic ecu for $1099 for the US market and over $200 less to UK |
It's due to how BOFI handles the VAT for European/UK purchasers. The price with VAT is around 1,075$, so close to the US Price for the MS3 Basic. As BOFI subtracts the VAT for US Customers, it comes out to much less when selling to US based customers. I used the coupon code EASTER7 to get 7% off, it may not work anymore, but I used it a few days after easter, so it may not be deactivated yet. You can also get other products on that site for significantly cheaper, a new garret 2560r comes out to around 750$ new, which is ridiculous (I think, not very familiar with turbo pricing)
I just tested, the 7% off code still works. That makes a new GT 2560R 700$ shipped to the US, MS3 Basic for 822$, MS3 Mini for 620$. |

And I'm sure he does deduct the vat and pocket it. |
Just purchased the BOFI ms3 basic for $849 with that coupon code. Thanks for sharing! Now, need to do a bunch of research and figure out how to use and install and all that. Thanks for everyone's advice and help. I was going to do the vvt box as a separate entity, but from what I was reading, that didn't get the greatest reviews.

Not a bad price at all!
|
That was actually a typo and not sure how I did that. But anyways, paid $819

Can’t wait to get it! Got tunerstudio and raspberry pie/touchscreen plus the lambo.dash so going to be sweet once I get everything hooked up!
|
It shipped, I am being charged 42$ of import fees in addition to the 832$ I paid for the ECU itself. Not used to paying import charges, but its still a good deal

Sell the same $832 item back to Euro customer and he will pay 20-40% import fees! |
