WTB: mint low mileage '92+ BP crankshaft
short version:
read title of thread Right now I am looking at buying a barely used built BP long block (generic H-beams, Wiseco pistons, ARP hardware, all new bearings, gaskets, rebuilt head, etc.). Unfortunately the guy built a small nose crank BP (doh!). It began as a very low mileage motor, so the crank didn’t need any work and it took all standard size bearings. Anyway, I'd like to find a 92+ BP crank in similar condition to swap in there. This way I won't need new bearings or anything like that. I'd like to drop the crank in ahead of time so that I can quickly swap my current oil pump & oil pan over, drop the new motor in, and drive away. The oil pump (billet gears), damper, etc. will come from my current motor which has a melted ring land on piston #4 :(. In theory I could use that crank, but I'd like to keep the car intact/running until I'm ready to do the swap. I can't do an engine swap where I store the car, and I can't really store the car where I would do the swap... I think the dilemma is pretty evident lol. |
