WTB: A stock NA in south jersey/Eastern PA

I just got in from putting money down on a nice black '96. I won't be picking it up for a week or so, but i'll have time to stockpile some parts so it's cool.

thanks to everyone for the offers and help looking.

The car doesn't have to be totally bone stock, but it would be a plus. The big thing is i don't want anything major like a turbo, that i want to do myself.

I'm also not looking for a project, because my daily driver will be gone by the end of this week. I need something i can get in and drive.

Any specifics like year, color, package, or just any NA? I ask because my girlfriend just moved back to PA (im going up very soon) and i've got her looking everywhere for me, so i can pass along info if i (she) find(s) anything that my appeal to you.

ChairFaceChippendale 07-04-2008 02:52 PM

i'd prefer a 1.8, but i'd go for a 1.6 if it was nice enough. it has to be a manual, but i think that goes without saying.

i could take or leave obd-ii. i don't mind doing some work to it after i get it, but i prefer it to be normal maintenance type things.

as far as packages go i'm not too picky.

i'm willing to travel somewhat for the right car, but i'm going to make sure i have cash in hand. i have a car i'm borrowing, so i'm not in a huge rush.

thanks a lot for looking out for me, i really appreciate it.

No problem, where you coming from and how far do you want to go so i know where to limit my searching for you.

ChairFaceChippendale 07-04-2008 05:01 PM

i'd probably travel up to 5 or 6 hours again for the right car. obviously closer is better, but i have no problem hopping in a car and going for a drive.

i'm usually in west chester, but i have some time off next week so i could be in south jersey as well.

i'll be 100% cash in hand ready to buy by next weekend, i just wanted to post this in case someone looking to sell runs across it.

Thats an awesome deal for a 94 with a rollbar and heliums. Looks like it has power mirrors so that means it should have a torsen too. And NY isnt too far away.

You're not going to find a rust free car with a rollbar and decent rims for 1800 though.

Probably not, but No rust > Roll bar and rims.

yeah, that 94 has a good deal of rocker rust, and a patched top.
I was really interested in that too :-(

I'm in the same boat as chairface

Me too brother, me too.

I was sad to see the amount of rocker rust, plus the windshield header was rusted too :(
