WTB: Supercharger setup for an 01 Miata

Hi guys,
I've been looking for a supercharger for my 2001 Miata. I prefer to find a FFS cold side kit, but I'd be interested in a MP62 hot side kit as well. Let me know what you have, know about, seen on eBay or Craigslist. Any help is greatly thanked.

Drew

Still looking :)

What is your budget?

I've got a FFS kit for a 99. just takes a re-wire of the powercards for it to fit a 01+

shoot me an email for the details. tann3r at gmail dot com

The budget depends on what is available, mileage, brand, what it comes with.

I have a 01+ rotrex for sale. It is a full kit except for the bracket for the oil cooler which is very simple to fabricate.

Have a great day,
Jared

There's a number of us on here with Rotrex's that can help you with any install questions etc you may have, should you go this route. I have an 01 myself.

Its a very simple install actually. Sould not take more than 3 and a half hours. Especially since the hoses and charger have been mounted.

Have a great day,
Jared

I may be able to get you a deal an intercooler from a friend off his 90. Should be fairly similar.

Have a great day,
Jared

Yes, others have intercooled the system with the provided restrictor and supercard fueling solution without issue. My track prep thread shows an air/air intercooler solution, and Dragonfighter over on m.net has implemented a water/air intercooler.

Just not so sure I want Rotex. Seems more top end rpm, I drive mostly on the street where I want more lower rpm grunt.

Thats what I liked about the kit. I could cruise and when I wanted the power it was there and it was on the limits where I cruised at on the highway.

My life has changed drastically since I rolled one of my miata's going on 6 years ago. It is hard but I only take out my need for speed on the track. However once in a while it is fun to ---- with people on the street. Seeing people with the WTF look on their face when they would not loose me was great. It was fun to tell them I was stock. that really threw them for a loop. Lol. It was great.

BTW I think an A2W it the better way to go. I am actually working on doing that to my 240 when I get the time and money. I like the sleeper look and not having this massive intercooler in front of my radiator will help with that. A propper heat exchanger will look like a radiator or a/c condenser. It will also allow for better cooling due to better air flow.

Have a great day,
Jared

My intercooler is black, and it is invisible. There is nothing externally to give away the car is not stock. There's plenty of juice. The car's never under 3k anyway unless one is deliberately hypermiling. No gear whine to give away your stealthness either.

You nailed it to a tee why I went this route. Its a great kit. I was just over the car and spending 14k on it in the last year had I not been in that situation it would not be up for sale.

Have a great day,
Jared
