WTB Window regulator.

So the damn cable snapped on my driverside window regulator:vash::vash::vash:. The price from Moss is obscene. I dont have much money spend on the repair, can anyone help my poor ass out?

Edit: Power windows.

levnubhin 04-09-2010 01:50 PM

Power or manual?

Thats fine, nothing against you. You can charge whatever you like, doesnt mean I can afford it.

Edit: That was not ment to come across douchie if it does.

miatanutz 04-09-2010 04:18 PM

With a new complete unit being $300...uhhh...$65 is a fuckin steal.
I wont sell mine for that...and I am sold out of drivers sides.
I'd grab this one, thats too stupid cheap.

icantthink4155 04-12-2010 08:15 PM

Does it come apart? Is it possible to just get pieces? Im pretty hard up for money right now but I need to fix this.

miatanutz 04-12-2010 08:35 PM

Yeah, it comes apart, motor and regulator are often sold separately.
Either piece will be expensive. Buy the used complete, thats cheaper, and MUCH easier to do too.

icantthink4155 04-13-2010 07:23 AM

I dont care about easy, I need to do this as absolutely cheap as possible.

miatanutz 04-13-2010 09:30 AM

Then buy the used one. It cheaper then either of the parts.

ArtieParty 04-13-2010 10:16 AM

Guy on the local forum got the regulator from Mazda Motorsports I think and had to attach it to the motor.

There's also a new regulator from finish line: http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=272&page=2

Another guy (Paul) took the cables from a manual window and made it work in a power window setup.

Any idea where to get the cable from?

rleete 04-13-2010 12:27 PM

You can get plain cable at any hardware store. If it's got special attachmnet points on the ends, you're screwed.

Seriously, 65 bucks is too much? Drop the damn cell phone plan for a month. How can you not be able to come up with that much? What happens if something important breaks?

icantthink4155 04-13-2010 12:34 PM

I am unemployed and I just paid several larger bills. So right now Im broke.
