Megasquirt Launch Control Help!!
I have a 1990 1.6 Miata with ms2 v3, been trying to set up launch control, but I’m not sure where to start. I have turned it on in ms and it does not work(pin input js11). I have read in previous threads to wire the brown/white wire on ecu harness to ms js11 or to wire pins 12 and 13 together on the options port, but my ms does not have an add on or options port. What can I do to install L/C? Do i have to open up the ecu and tap the clutch switch wire from harness to js11 inside ms? Any help is appreciated !!

I’m also just realizing that the TPS is reading -60% with engine on… what does this mean? Could this potentially be restricting the ecu from enabling launch control due to negative TP percentage values ? It’s a 1.6 90 engine, shouldn’t the tps always be reading 0% since they are not variable ?

You’ll need to wire a VTPS. If I’m reading this correctly, this is not a PNP unit? You need to assign a digital input to launch control, and it needs to be grounded when the clutch switch is pressed.

I believe his point is it's usually not used for drag launches.
Usually launch control is activated above a certain TPS %, hence the need for a VTPS. It's a good idea regardless.
The wiring is up to you, but you'll need a good ground to go through the clutch switch to a digital input. So you're not looking for analog inputs like what you'd use for a variable signal like TPS, oil pressure, etc. It's just an on/off, like AC request. If you don't have AC, you could use that input?

i have little to no knowledge when it comes to tuning functions, so what do you mean by the clutch switch to a digital input? Can you possibly guide me on the steps? Factory it has AC but I removed it and the heater core. BTW, I assumed clutch switch is already grounded since it switches to tell ecu when clutch is depressed.
