Ok so I have also decided to put a new radiator, intercooler set up. I am this far into it so I am going to make everything right. I want to run a stock miata cxracing radiator just scoot it forward a bit. I need to find a set of lower radiator mounts to get started on that and I also picked up two intercoolers the other day that may work. They are the standard in on one side and out on the other. The one it 18x9x3 and the other is 24x9x3 so I am hoping to get the bigger of the two in there but we will see how it works. This is all stemming from having to redo my harness. I really hate going back to do stuff over but if I do it right now I won't have to worry later.

The 100% legit plan is to have it completely road worthy by ocean city crusin next spring. So that gives me another 7 months or so to get it all worked out. Plus at the beginning of 2012 it will be 20 years old so I can get hot rod or historic tags. This equals no emission, no inspection and cheap tags. I just want to drive it.

I wanna move the radiator so one I can use a bigger one and two in hopes of running twin fans but if I can move the intercooler far enough forward I can run two pusher fans instead of two pullers

Just a minor update I had presents at my house when I got home yesterday. They looked something like this!!!!! Being my cheap *** self I got these by chance. My neighbor races SM and he needed a set of stock fenders as these were cut for the flares so he told me he would trade for some stockies. So my stock fenders come off and these go on as well as the rear flares. Should look pretty sweet. Has anyone kept the stock mud flaps with flares like this? If so please let me know.
Also here are the two intercoolers I have collected to try and use as a new front mount. The one is a custom made one for another car the other is an ATP one for a VW. I think I am going to use the VW one but if the bigger one fits I will use it. I need to get my bumper off and do some test fitting.

So it is raining here and I got some of my harness work done. I extended about 1/3 of the wires last night so I figure two more nights or so and I will have it extended. I am also going to add the oil pressure sensor wire to the harness and a few other wires now that the harness is all apart again. Also I would like to add that I am soldering and heat shrinking all the wires. I hate butt connectors with a passion and I think anything harness related should always be soldiered to help cut down on tracking problems down later on. When the rain stops hopefully I can get my new fenders on. I am also trying to get a GTC-200 wing and I need to order my GV front lip as well. I really want this thing done by january so by the time it gets warm I can have it all tuned and ready to go.

Ok to add to the confusion of my build. I want to sell my kosie K1's even though they are the coveted 16x8's lol. I would like to sell the wheels so I can buy a set of diamond racing wheels. I would buy some xxr's with big offsets but I am afraid of breaking one. I am thinking about going 16x9 in the front and 16x10 in the back what do you all think about this. Or does anyone have experience with what offsets to use with a wheels set up like this. I want to make this thing as wide as possible and get some real tire under it.

hey Sean, glad to see things are slowly but surely still moving forward on your build. i have a question for you. just out of curiosity, have you by any chance weighed in the car with the 2j and trans installed yet. i was just wondering what the current weight of this combination would be.

No I have not been able to get it on the scales even to get an overall weight. I am hoping it will not be that bad and judging by the way it sat with stock suspension it was not terribly off but as soon as I get that info I will let you all know. Hopefully I can get some more harness work done tonight on this rainy day.

Let the harness work begin. Again!
I have decided to extend my harness 24 inches for what I wanna do. I am rerouting some stuff and making it look pretty. I am still undecided weather or not to take the harness through the fire wall right near the inlet of the turbo where I originally planned or I have been contemplating removing my wiper system and bringing it down through the top of the cowl. It would be hidden and I like this idea I am just unsure if I can make it not leak at all. The last thing I need in a miata is more leaking water. Anyone have any input on this?

So another small update I have slowly been working on extending my harness when I have time. I just got my daily driver back on the road this weekend so most of my time has gone there. I did find time to ****** up this super clean GTC-200 off Craigslist for super cheap. I'll put it this way it cost me less for this one than it did for the cheap ebay knock off one. What do you all think. Now I just need my GV style front lip and some abs plastic to make a splitter and the aero will be good to go.

That wing is super super legit. Another small update today I picked up a piece of 4x8 x 1/4 abs black plastic. This will be use in conjuction with my soon coming gv lip to make a super splitter. I may add naca ducts to it for more air flow but for now it will just be flat. I hope all goes well with it.
