Default Another turbo build

Hi from Australia

So this month it began, a 4 stage build ( not that ever actually ends ) but this is the plan anyway.
About 6 weeks ago i brought and currently have installed:
NB8A 1.8 engine
Ditched the 5 speed for NB 6 speed
Exedy Sports tuff HD clutch
Changed the rear diff ratio from 4.3:1 - 3.9:1 torson
Nitro Dann stainless twistmount manifold and full 3" exhaust throughout with a highflow cat
Gen 2 Garrett GTX2860R
Megasquirt pnp2 for na6 loom ( though gotta chop harness to suit 1.8 engine)
stealthy black FMIC and turbosmart BOV
50mm alloy radiator
coolant reroute
Rx8 yellow injectors
Toyota cops kit

So that's it for stage one to get it up and running im sure more will change within the month.

( Stage 2 handling ) This will start after January/Feb
6UL in 15x9 wrapped in 225/45r15 hankook RS3's
Newer harder coilovers, chassis bracing, under fender bracing, bigger brakes, proper roll bar,

( Stage 3 mid this year)
Forge build with a goal of 400RWHP hopefully keep the torque 300ish or change current gearbox/diff combo
lots more reading yet to decide exactly what i want, but i want the power my rx7 had but still retain the mx5 handling so beefing that up to handle the power is key.

( Stage 4 cosmetics)
Along the way....

Cant wait to drive it in 2 weeks tuner is confident will get 240-260hp on pump 98 ( stock engine )
In the mean time ill just keep ordering parts to go bigger or go broke.

Dan.

Injectors seem small unless you are running higher fuel pressure.

Even with higher pressure they'll be past maxed at a proper 260 wheel.
You should get something good, something ev14, and scrap those.

Otherwise good start and good parts, good luck.

yeah thats the plan just whatever it makes with the 420's will be fine untill i tame it with handling/brakes then worry about upgrading the fuel system for e85 so some 1000cc ev14's or something, i was initially building the big nose 1.6 so the plug and play was for simplicity but now im just like **** it time to build it right.

Default It's Boosted

Well its back on the road happily boosted and I am loving it.
the 6 speed feels amazing and with short shifter its so close and smooth and the turbo starts to sing from 2000rpm making boost with 13psi before 3k till rev cut @ 6800 with no drop off.
it made a comfortable 248hp @ 13psi which is loads of fun now gonna spend some time cleaning it up, making an air box installing a NACA duct on the headlight and doing some heat management.

Default minor update

Hey all, its been a slow year with the car, i've only been home 11 weeks this year because of work.
so when i've been home im out driving it rather then modifying, but with 3 weeks off over the Christmas break there will be lots of car fun to be had.
My forged internals have just arrived from fab9 but i cant get the block into a local machine shop till jan/feb, i got some new shoes from 949racing and installed a 24mm swaybar, ill be upgrading the stock na6 brakes with some newly rebuilt na8/nb8a brakes i got as the car really needed them now.
Here are some minor changes over the last 6 months and not a single issue with how its been, also i've made a template for my airbox and ordered a FM intake cover for the LH light.
