Just sell the thing and get a pinto, cause you seem to have no luck with your car. Everyone has different talents, I don't think yours is turning wrenches.

Wow guys thank you!!! OMG this forum is so supportive and I like really don't know what I would do without your kindness! It's like, so AWESOME to experience enthusiasm and positivity in my challenging endeavour!!!! I know that all of you like, absolutely NEVER EVER had a problem with your turbo or automotive setups, and erupted out of your momma, vaulting into this world as pure shining bastions of turbo knowledge. Like, super serious, really, I have to give super BIG thanks (and hugs!!!) to everyone for letting me hang around here, despite the potential for me and my car to bring shame to the turbo miata community. Such a sensitive, sharing, welcoming, positive group!

I'd just like to point out that everything you said about me and my turbo miata is 100% true.

Default Happy Time. ?

I fixed my ******* water leak with an unused hose I had. I think that the hose that died croaked because it just aged from heat. It was the water line closest to the manifold.

I put a new turbo blanket on the turbine since the spiffy ebay one disintegrated. Respectably, the seller refunded my money. The one I put on is a DEI volcanic material blanket and I wrapped the downpipe with the same stuff. My girlfriend thinks it looks pretty cool and so do I.

I started it up, the water line did not leak, and I took the car for a drive. The turbo still whined, albeit less loudly than before. I guess removing (I drilled out the pinhole) the restrictor was beneficial. This by the way, was Sean's original idea so he deserves the credit. When I parked and turned the car off, and lo and behold, the compressor spun for about a minute. That is a good sign as it has not been doing that for a while. I popped the filter off and again, behold! The wheel spun freely, the way it is supposed to.

Here's a pic of my bay as it is today. Made a few changes. Can anyone figure out what I did?

You used electrical tape for an AN fitting and crocheted a doily for your turbo.
