I really have to say again that Aquafresh Green is a poor choice for a car color.

I sat the engine on the floor and tried to get the trans in. suck. No go. Yes the discs go onto the shaft just fine when the assembly is not bolted together. I checked again. I think the trans has to be held up front and rear so it doesn't bind on the splines.

Note that it took me about 2.5 hours to pull the motor... tops. And that was with breaks. Clutch is at like 60 hours now. Sigh.

Second time. Very easy. Disconnect everything and rip the ****** out. If you forgot stuff like the heater hoses or speedo cable dont worry they will just detatch themselves for you.

Sean is going to come assist tomorrow. We are going to sit the engine verticlaly and let gravity slide the trans on.

Hey did you try to install the transmission with the engine in the car? Might have been easier.

Those vent hoses actually don't need to be protected from heat. The issue is that they are very stiff and saw through things rapidly. I agree that the silver sheath looks like crap. Maybe I will heat shrink them?

Sean figured it out.

There was something in the way, even with the motor out of the car.

A Pretty Pony goes to whoever guesses what was keeping the trans from going in.

Your hopes and dreams?

Some sort of small rodent?

Pusha's gut?

Some sort of hippy crap you've had lying around the house?
