I actually prefer the steel fittings. I can crank them down real tight to get them to seal. And then the aluminum to steel seal is on the machined surface not the line I shittily flared.

Dude you need 3-10 separate build threads, I can't find any of our old brake discussions!
How are the mini rotor brakes holding up? I am about to do my first track night with the 11" mini rotors, but did not have time to add ducting. Last I can remember you didn't have air ducted to the brakes, but that might just have been for the first track day with the new brakes.

Mini brakes seem to be doing great. I have the 11.7" rotors, with ducting now, and they are doing great. Without ducting they were really good, but at PIR (2 drag races with a couple turns in the middle) I could get them to fade.

Cool. I was debating on swapping to the 11.5" turbo mini rotors for this track night event, but cannot fit them under the wheels that I am borrowing to finish off my brother's set of NT-01's. I did finally mock the brackets up that you guys made and was pleasantly surprised to find that I had about 1/8" clearance with my 15x7 Dial-Ins. I don't feel like ruining my street set of Neogens on track so I am going to have to try the unducted 11" for the tree sessions I am running on Thursday.
I am running DTC-60 all around. Is that the same pad you guys are running?

They fit great on my 15x8 dial ins. I'm running DTC-60's all around. Just the centric rotors. They used to be on ebay for like $15 a piece. I think I paid $45 for a pair from rockauto.

Looks like PIR has some really long straights. I will be running at CMP which is pretty brake intensive, but the straights are not nearly as long as the ones on PIR. I am going to give it a shot. It is my first track day since I installed the turbo so it will be interesting to see how it all holds up. Its just a 3 session track night that I am considering a shakedown run to see if everything works OK before investing in a full track weekend!

Sorry, was out pretty late yesterday.
I used:
Aeroquip FBM3679 -05 steel tube sleeve (2 per package)
Aeroquip FBM3571 -05 steel tube nut
Aeroquip FBM2755 -06/-05 steel male reducing union
The JIC fittings you linked are much cheaper -- the only difference in the standards are the threadform fits. Should be fine in theory, but I have no experience. Obviously, the flares will be the same which is the important part.
I'll show you what all my tool can do at MRLS. I have dies for double OR single flares for 37-degree AN. Each has its own set of caveats, as single flares require good tube end prep and care for small seamed steel tube.
