As far as plug-and-play tunes go with cobb/jb4/etc. there is a lot more power to be made on that motor than the n55.

EDIT: And that one you posted is crazy expensive. KBB on the 2010 is like 13.5, and 15.5 for the 2011.

Don't mod you DD. Leave it bone stock and just drive it to and from work and never worry about it.

I mean, that's basically the plan. I don't really consider the plug-and-play tunes by themselves moddddifying it really. I'd just be doing the basic stage1 or whatever they refer to it as where there is no hardware change besides maybe a different intake. Bump it up 50ft-lb, call it a day.

^ this. I wouldn't suggest doing a big turbo custom manifold 6-puck clutch build on your daily, but nothing wrong with a tune.

Understood. I was just using an example. Do not follow the BMW world at all. Good luck with your search.

Although - I was checking out the Miata part of your thread and not really wanting to derail this into your BMW search thread. My apologies.

Autotrader and cars.com have pretty good search engines that will let you filter on these sorts of things.

Cars for Sale: Used 2010 BMW 335i in Sedan, MILWAUKIE OR: 97267 Details - Sedan - Autotrader

That's really strange.... I'd been using a site that was supposed to check all those sites for me... Looks like it's not a very reliable site.

Thanks!

These kinds of web sites want you to go to them directly so they can get advertising revenue, so there's an ongoing arms race between them and the aggregators. The aggregators parse the web site layout, the site will change stuff to try to block them, then the aggregators adapt, etc, etc. It's the same story as craigslist. The end result is, if you're searching for an unusual car, you really need to go directly to the sources.

Unfortunately you still can't fix stupid car dealerships... that's an automatic.

Bought a 33gal, 165psi, 5.1cfm oil-less compressor today for $75. Discounted from $400. Not too shabby.

The living room seems like an odd place to keep it.

Hahaha I agree. Unfortunately due to a roommate moving, the remaining one and I downsized from 3400ft² with a huge garage to 975ft² with a car port. So for the time being I'm just going to have to tuck it somewhere.

I just graduated/started work/all that good stuff and won't be renewing my lease come the end of July. So hopefully she'll have a nice home in the corner of a garage somewhere here shortly. @Rallas I'll be moving out towards your neck of the woods.

Rode in a car (not a miata) that had a BOV noise I truly adore. Much closer to what I was hoping for sound wise when I bought my fake Tial. I may be changing things up to a real Greddy here at some point....

Consider this: Dual Piston Ram Dump Valve

I used the single piston and a filter, but the filter tore in two in the 18 months I ran it (mounted directly on the valve)

That also sounds a lot more like what I'm looking for. I really like the single, distinct "pshhhh" that those two seem to give. Right now mine doesn't even work well enough for me to hear the BOV over the compressor surge lol. "pew pew pew pew pew"
