Got the NB 5 speed in last night. Filled it with Castrol Syntec 75-90. Drove it to work this morning and I couldn't be happier, shifts up and down like butta. I don't like the length of the stock shifter though, I had an East coast Miata short shifter in my NA 5 speed, I guess I'll get used to it though.

Man, I don't know if I'd want a shorter than stock shift lever. The distance from the wheel is great, the throws are already pretty short, and I don't know if I'd want to lose any leverage. My shifter is pretty balky though, crappy clutch bleed last time and I haven't changed the tranny fluid.

Lev, does your new top come up and down easily, or do you have to fanangle it? My soft to pwit glass window is a PITA.

No, the NA shifter has one pin, the NB has two.

I'll get used to it, just feels weird going to a shifter that is that much longer.

No, mine works perfectly. You probably got an M1 bar. I made sure I got an M2 bar because I knew at some point I would want a glass window.

Stop complaining cause you can't handle the big stick. Wanna sell the short shifter?

I prefer girth over length, this will take some getting used to. Paypal me 35 bucks and it's yours.

Damn and I was happy I had 750cc and now everyone is going bigger than me. What injectors did you have before? Must be getting ready for some extra "flow"

Well when the day comes that I finally get his new ******* manifold done he'll probably be experiencing a bit more "flow". I cant wait to see dyno comparisons of his new manifold versus the old.
