If you weren't working under the car, then you added to it. There's a good bit of tunnel mat between the downpipe and tunnel already.

So far looks great! I'm really considering the ISIS 2871 for my BP as of late. That ones quite a bit cheaper though. Is that the same brand as what Vlad and Ryan among others have used with success? I want that.

Grats man! Having it actually start is all sorts of win

If I may, any chance you have links for the fuse box things and ginormous relays you used? I see the Stinger Audio 80A breakers on the panel, those I should be able to find. I'm still in the planning stages for the rewiring job I have to do on a 70's British car and your DIY power system is one of the better ones I've seen that I have the skills to reproduce.

To give you an idea, the car has a single fuse block with 4 fuse locations and only 3 are populated from the factory, and this car originally had A/C

Now I'm feeling all limey. Bloody good show mate! When does it hit the road again?

I'm wiring the lights up now, and the gauge cluster. I expected this to be easier than the MS/engine stuff for some reason. I was wrong. This sucks big time.

I may have it on the road and tuning next weekend.

This is the fuse box, they make all sorts of different sizes and other things related. Quality stuff from what I can tell so far:
Amazon.com: Blue Sea Systems 5026 ST Blade Fuse Block with Cover: Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com: Blue Sea Systems 5026 ST Blade Fuse Block with Cover: Sports & Outdoors

And the relay:
80 AMP RELAY 12 VOLTS : Amazon.com : Automotive 80 AMP RELAY 12 VOLTS : Amazon.com : Automotive

And the breakers:
Amazon.com: Stinger Sgp90801 80A Circuit Breaker: Computers & Accessories Amazon.com: Stinger Sgp90801 80A Circuit Breaker: Computers & Accessories

Very satisfied with all of these parts. The relays are loud though hah, BIG clunk.

Status update: I fixed the TPS (******* wires reversed, it must have been the same day I did the coils). Everything runs. Currently only have the downpipe so it's loud as all hell. If I had the steering column back together I could drive it just fine. I have to finish these lights first. The wiring is all done for them (pretty much) I just have to mount the relays and organize ALL the wires. Then I can put the interior back and get this b on the road.

No problem.

Ironically last night I did some thinking and I don't think I'm really satisfied with a "from scratch" harness. My main goal in all of this was to make things less complicated. In the end, although I know the car much better, I still don't think it's how I want it. With the addition of the lighting circuit it's a rats nest under the dash.

My new plan is to modify the stock harness. I'll strip it of most of what I don't need, add wires for sequential fuel/spark, and any other extra wires (boost control, proper ground circuit for all sensors, flex fuel sensor, etc..). I'll reuse as much as what I can.

Lesson learned. The engine harness would have been fine, the sensors all read good, and it ran fine. But with the addition of the lighting circuit it wasn't happening. Was a total mess. The better option is to modify the existing harness.

I want to have the car ready for the new turbo setup at the end of the month. I think the timing will end up working out where the wiring is finished and I have a week or so to run N/A and work out any issues. Then I can swap in the turbo and tuuune.

This weekend I shall make progress if I can manage to get most of my school stuff done Saturday. I hate having it down this long, and I want to drive it a week or so before the hot parts get here.

Okay so looking at the harness as I was removing it I really want to make this work. So I'm redesigning a few things with the lighting circuit in mind. Some compromises were made, but nothing I think will matter. I'm making this work. Below you can see why this sucks. I drew out the complete wiring circuit for the lighting circuit. There is just so much **** on the drivers side, I have to find a way to keep it clean.

damnit pic fail

Lot of work done on the lighting circuit. I think it's going to be doable. I decided to redesign a few things (again) to make it cleaner. I ended up planning out the whole circuit on paper (engine and lighting). I just taped together a bunch of paper to fit everything. It made it a lot easier to work with an entire schematic on one large paper instead of a bunch of smaller ones with the just 1 circuit on it. Obviously it's far from a real schematic, but just a little lower level abstraction and hand drawn. Also my frog arms finally came from FM. yay.

I resigned the relay/fuse box board to be a bit larger so I had more space to manager the wires better. I'll be using more ATX 24 pin connectors for the fuse boxes, as attaching the power/grounds directly to and from the fuse box and whatever it was powering/grounding didn't allow it to be as modular as I wanted.

That big cluster of wires at the bottom left is what makes the lighting circuit suck so bad. I'm not even done making the diagram at this point.

Alright here are some real progress pics. I clean up the relay/fuse board as stated earlier. So far the engine power/ground and sensor ground is wired up to 1 connector. Another connector will face the opposite way with the lighting circuit power/ground.

Everything is coming along nicely. I think I will have the car, for real, on the road this weekend.

No progress really. About to scratch running NA for a few weeks and just go straight to turbo. Only update is from ARTech

EDIT: By the looks of it this is the ARTech top mount http://www.artechfabrication.com/Axial-Top-Mount.php
I really hope he sent me the wrong photo because I definitely asked for a bottom mount. :(

Looking good man. Not sure about the mani, but I'd ask him asap just in case. Would suck to have to get him to build another one, but knowing yourself, you wouldn't settle for any less than you wanted.

At this point I'll be sticking NA for the time being. I want time to vet the MS3x, wiring, and corn before I upgrade to 1.6 mega power status. Car is going to be driven this weekend.

Today I found out I'll definitely be leaving the country for a year. 3 months ago I would have said no way, but life get's crazy. Consider this a for sale thread now.
