Due to circumstances beyond my control my only interaction with the car this weekend was walking past it. Once.
I'm working 5am - 2pm this week, so I guess there is that. Fuckery will continue this afternoon if I'm not a complete zombie. 4am came REALLY early this morning.

Flash with 1.3.4, let TS download the whatsit for this firmware, get errors:
Ignore errors, reload MSQ, get this:
Ok, sure, go ahead...
Get this:
But this is OK, because I'm pretty sure that's my wideband? So lets sent Tuner Studio Settings.
Interestingly enough, the wideband is the only "different" thing that is actually enabled in the settings. All the rest of the yellow boxes are around settings that are disabled.
Powercycle. Does it start?
Yes!
Well, not exactly yes... idle is 550rpm @ 13:1 and requires some throttle to get there. BUT! It runs on 1.3.4
Let me see if I can unfuck the idle and go from there...

I'm just glad I got it running on 1.3.4. If I only get that far I won't cry too much.
1.4.0 is now installed. I got a whole smattering of errors similar to what I posted in #1885 so I reloaded the MSQ I saved from the running 1.3.4 tune but did NOT get the difference report this time. I think I'm going to try that whole process again and see what happens.
Without poking around in the tune too much, it cranks but won't start. I can hear it popping but its not quite enough to pick up and catch and transition from start to idle. I ran out of time yesterday and didn't get to dig around in the tune to see if I could make it do something more impressive. If I have some time I'll play with it some more today. Its good to know I've got that 1.3.4 MSQ that runs to fall back on.

I fiddled with 1.4.0 for most of Sunday afternoon/evening but I still can't get the car to start. I admitted defeat, reflashed 1.3.4 and drove it to work this morning. I'm just going to have to be happy with 1.3.4 for now.
My cold starts are ...interesting after the wideband gets out of its warmup routine and the CAN module starts handing off real data rather than the 14.7 "warmup" signal. I think my WUE table is all whacky so I'm considering wiring my wideband to another battery and trying to get some real startup AFR data. Hopefully that'll help me sort things out.
RB header will come out tonight or tomorrow and the turbo and manifold will be installed. This will allow me to:
The GOAL is to identify everything I need to order and then place the orders Weds/Thurs. This weekend will probably be "finalizing" the intercooler mounting and duct work.

- finalize coolant routing for turbo
- finalize oil feed for turbo
- figure out a location to mount intercooler
- sort out intercooler plumbing
- sort out fuel system stuff (maybe)
