Same guy, different build Diryturbo is its name.
So i sold my redrocket quite a few years back and havent really been back since. Well now im back, new ride, same idea. Dirtyturbo is boost on a budget Michigan daily driver/ weekend track autox warrior (or soon to be) Purchased the car march of 2011 so ive owned her about a year now.
Ive been bored, just working and dreaming of driving my miata and hitting some forums so i figured i got an account here might as well plaster some stuff here too..
Its a 91 hardtop with a 1.6l. Mods thus far: Ebay turbo kit, fmic, obx dp and fmu, msd retarded boost box, turbonetics bov, walboro 255 pump, hard dog roll bar, azenis on stock wheels, Custom ic piping and dual exhaust from the dp back bent by me. Oh removed the 20g blown oil seals turbo and replaced with a 16g. Running 12 psi right now, she feels pretty healthy, definetly out there smokin a few cars.
Ive got around $4300 into the car including what i paid for it.
Future mods(hope to have done by end of this summer) Fm happy meal clutch/flywheel.. supposed to pick up a second engine thursday ($300) and full suspension and frame bracing so i can use her proper on a race course.

Progress since my last visit... blowd up my 130k motor runnin 12psi.. killed cyl #1. Picked up a used engine for $300. Lower end plastigaged/miced out so i let it be. I did however put a set of chromoly sealed power rings in, cometic head gasket, arp studs and replaced every single gasket/seal on the engine.
Oh and an act clutch. Also made a turbo brace to avoid any further mani cracking issues. New engine is in.. car is back on the road and running like a champ.. Instaled an aem wbo2 and then after a lil over 200mi started boostin a lil again. Runnin 8 psi but got a lil lean spot when the turbo first spools im trying to work out. Dem donated me an old jr afm box so ill be wiring/installing it this weekend and hopefully it does the trick... enjoy
