rilly? I had assumed it's a correction for elevation and temperature. We're at 400 ft elevation so there's not much correction to be had there, so other than that it would have been temp and humidity.
O well. Either way. Uncorrected

The problem is that the compressor substantially changes the air's properties in ways the correction doesn't account for. For example, if you were driving your Miata way up in the mountains and were still making 15psi, a normally aspirated SAE correction would give you, well, FM's numbers.

We're both truly confused by the PO. Afraid of over heating? Let's put a TSE radiator and reroute in, but run it with no thermostat. Afraid of blowing an engine? Let's build it with forged goodies, and then run it pig rich, low psi, and most likely extremely conservative spark maps.
His low boost setting is 8psi! Boooo.

Just a heads up on the GTI front end Ed. It will fit, but you also need to modify the fenders and/or buy GTI fenders and then modify the top that meets the A pillar. It will not match AT ALL. You either need to weld a piece of filler metal in or fiberglass it because there will be a 1 1/2" gap. Also the rocker panels may need some tweaking as well
Sadly the Sportwagen was built on the MK5 chassis but with all the Mk6 revisions added on(MK5.5). So a lot of parts translate over but sadly the front bumper swap is not as easy and bolt, clip, drive.

Honestly if it's going to be a PITA I'll just do a GTI grille and call it good. I don't really care that much for the bumper anyway.
My car is on a lift in the shop getting the new throw out bearing installed... and the vband clamp on the turbo to downpipe joint is stripped Trying to get it replaced before dyno time tomorrow night. Wish me luck.

In other news: My car is currently at KO Racing getting a thermostat swapped, vband clamp replaced, and getting ready for dyno time tonight. Sure hope it works out this time.
