Welcome to the forum. A MS will help you make more power because you can get rid of the restrictive factory Air Flow Meter. And you can tune for maximum power instead of the stock tune which is for fuel economy and good emissions, neither of which we care about.

I tend to use afm and maf interchangeably even though they are physically different. They measure airflow. Yes, you can get rid of it and pick up some horses. Both types are a restriction. Welcome to the forum.
