A miata is scary enough at 140 with perfectly good tires. Dear god, this will be in the back of my mind next time I top out my car.

Glad everyone (and the car) is alright.

To bad you're in Cali, still have my bumper off the NA.

How much boost are you at now?

Zip ties to fix it for now, going to try and find one locally. I believe we got up to 23, Vlad will have to chime in, he is the of this operation. The needle on the gauge is pointed down, that's all I saw lol

I think it was 21-22 but when it gets cooler I'd fully expect it to peg 23.

Probably after I get some genuine GM LS coils. The ones I got weren't OE and sucked *****. But other than that it's just too damn hot to be honest, I will be more than comfortable to up it some more once it cools off. But it pulls hard and is pretty quick, so I am happy.

I also went to the drag strip last night, I had some Toyo R888 in the back. I have never gone to a track and I was terrible and getting out of the hole and not missing any gears, pretty embarrassing.

My best E/T was 12.233
My best MPH was 121.164
My best 60' was 2.182

Of the 7 passes I did, I got 5 wins. Surprised a few people

Plan to do ls2 coils? That's my next mod after I get my ecu. I will be waiting awhile for the new exhaust so I need to find some stuff to keep me entertained lol

Yeah, that's what I thought I had purchased. They looked like LS2 coils, and I am sure if they were going to be used in a stock application on a truck or something they would have been fine. Just gotta find some OEM ones.

Here is some media... I only did one pass on those tires, then I put the Toyo R888's on it.

And here is a video, this wasn't my best ET. Burn out at 2:40, staged at 2:52, win light at 3:13 and all my missed shifts to go along with it. That was against some Audi with a giant front mount.

Everything is fine, I did 8 passes straight and never even popped the hood. When I loaded it on the trailer I reached under and felt the diff and transmission. They were cool enough to place my hand on them. I never really launched the car that hard, and I had the rear tire pressures up.

Stock or MSM axles?
That's a great night at a strip. I've always been worried about launching.

I think they all are, MSM is just a bit thicker shaft.

On that note

And the MSM uses the s2000 spline in the diff. And they're also the only miata axle that you can buy new rather than getting used or rebuilt. All other miata axles, even from mazda are rebuilt units.
