Makes sense. I would try and call silicon intakes when they open. Last time they shipped before responding to an email of mine. Even though I sent the email right after ordering.

i ordered those elbows from ebay. theyre $11 for the pair shipped. i just sent a request to cancel those 2 items and just ordered the right ones at $17 for a pair shipped.

i ordered the clamps from silicone intakes so ill see if they swap them out for the right size, they're the same cost.

Wish I had planned more. But I mounted my intercooler on Tuesday and was driving on Saturday so I didn't have time to spare lol.

im sourcing the rest of my reroute pieces and im trying to find an elegant solution to the upper hose. does anyone know of an upper hose that works well with the offset radiator neck the 949 crossflow rad utilizes?

if not i am either going to use an escalade hose with a coupler and a staight section or just use a long pipe across the manifold like begi does with a 90 at the rear and a straight connector at the front.

a challenge for the forum- find me M12x1.25 barb fittings. i already made some myself, but im curious if someone can find them. my shopping/research skills are usually pretty good, but i came up empty handed. you can find M12x1.5 barbs, and 1.25 banjos, but no m12x1.25 barbs.

Go to one of your local auto parts store, the biggest around, and ask to see there hoses. Mine has them all hanging on a way. Then you can see all of them.

I just call these guys: https://www.ofsco.net and if they don't have it it probably doesn't exist.

my local oreilly just about knows me by name. they let me go back and do whatever i want, and they have a huge hose selection as they are the hub for my area. i was just looking to avoid that.

ill probably go the M-tuned route, with a silicone hose and anti-collapse spring. thanks EO2K

You can make your own BEGi spacer for way cheaper. You can see mine in my build thread.

i was just referring to the way mtuned does the upper hose, all i need to get at this point is a kia neck, an upper hose, and a thermostat

Did you buy the hose 949 sells for that radiator? You might be able to get them to sell you the one they have in this kit separately: Miata Coolant Reroute System

no i forgot it was offered when i ordered my rad, so i just went to my oreillys and went behind the counter and matched one up.

the hose in emilios kit is exactly the one described by EO2K in the link i posted above. the coil in the reroute kits appears to be mild steel, EO2K found a SS for $7.

hose

coil spring thingy

this is probably the route (pun intended and confusing) ill go unless someone knows of a cheap preformed hose i can pickup at oreilly.

I'll send you a picture of my setup when I get home. I have a m12x1.25 to AN6, then AN6 90 adapter, then AN6-5/16th hose barb adapter, its a pretty long chain lol.

That's exactly the type of shenanigans I wanted to avoid. I thought yours was 1.5?
