Lotus 7 Replica, Street legal in California. Very fast at 700 lbs lighter than a Miata. With street tires spins the rears at 60mph. In need of a 1.8 motor, randomly a cam gear exploded. Miata 6 speed and limited slip diff., Panasport 15 x 8 wheels, Full instrumentation including GPS Speedo, dash mounted safe- fuel pressure guage and exhaust temp. With AEM engine control got over 300 hp at engine last 2 times at dyno. RC 1000 injectors, custom intake and ss exhaust manifolds. Custom Griffin radiator, intercooler, and Garrett turbo.
Very easy to work on as all sides of motor are exposed. Also have custom build light weight trailer for this car that fits into a standard garage. This was the Lotus 7 , Champion Motor Company (CMC) Kitcar that was built as a feature by Grassroots Magazine after which it was sold and used on the track in Sacramento and then I bought and got it street legal.
it is very fun to drive, but I have to sell due to a shoulder problem. Check this forum for threads regarding the rebuilding of this car. Once I have a engine built it I will be asking 13k for the car and 2k for the trailer. Make me an offer now if you have your own 1.8 engine. With the AEM any stage of build can be controlled.
