Replacing my crappy TD05 tubular manifold?
Hey guys,
I have a 'kit' from eBay fitted to my car, as you no doubt already know, they're a little bit dodgy on the quality front.
After spending too much money having my tubular manifold CNC-machined flat on each flange, it's just cracking and cracking and cracking. Probably 50% of it by weight is now just welding. The 'kit' I have is the TD05 Greddy-replica and the manifold and down pipe I have looks just like this:
eGay link
I want to replace it with this piece of Chinese tat:
eGay cast manifold
Will my turbo fit? Do I need this (I suspect I do):
Third and final piece of crap...

Those parts what you need. The bolt patterns are different.
You need either a used Greddy mani or to have one of the gentlemen here build you a suitable replacement. Or switch to a turbo with a more common flange design. Have you been through the "for sale" section here?

This particular badboy looks like what you mean?
Looks sweet, but how much? The Artech website I just googled didn't reveal it to me...

the tacotaco cast log has been proven to work but wont fit like others said.
if you absolutely must stick with the rest of this setup I think a custom Artech "log" (if you wanna keep costs down) mani is one of your few or only options. Otherwise ditch this weak setup entirely and get something common like a t2 or t3 footprint inlet/5 bolt outlet turbos.

I've been speaking to Mr. Artech about different options and prices, thanks for the tip!
I've also figured I could probably make this combo fit:
Cast iron log
Correct adaptor for said log
My car is just a track car, and it lives on the Nordschleife where we drop and climb 1000ft every single lap - or every 8.5 minutes. The turbo manifold is reaching obscene temperatures and as much as I love the tubular works of art that I've seen here, I worry about their endurance on the 'Ring.
At least with more cheap eBay parts I can swap the convertor flange from T3>TD05 to T3>T25. Then replace with a re-conn'd Nissan T25 if/when the worst happens. I'd hate to invest over $500 on the Artech (remember shipping and taxes) and then break it... :(
Can you believe my chinese turbo is over a year old already?!
