aha ive deiced i dont like the stang anymore, want miata again lol i can never make up my mind, soo i need some advice what i should do. I have mechanical ability ive done everything to my car so far, i think i should be able to put in a turbo myself. I say im going to put 5-10 grand into this car. Anybody have any advice what i should buy, like engine management, what kind of turbo/kit, injectors, body kit? Because i got 10 grand to blow, so help me out lol.

give me the 10G's and you wont have any more worries about what to do with it, lol
just do everything right the first time and you should be ok
buy quality and do as much yourself as you can to save money and spend it on the miata
start with engine, turbo kit, MS, a good suspension, roll bar, etc. its actually really easy to blow 10 grand

10 grand.... easy to blow!

Built 1.8.... big turbo..... good engine management.... suspension and bracing..... wheels and rubber too wide to fit the car and associated body mods to accomodate them..... That's 8 right there easy of you're not the thrifty DIY type....

BEGI kit S1 at the minimum with intercooler and all the bells and whistles.
Megasquirt
Injectors 460s should be fine and they'll idle better.
Clutch(ACT or w/e)
1.8 Diffrential
1.8 Brake swap
Better springs than the EGAY crap
Wideband AEM or LC1
Oil Temp and Boost gauge
Oil Cooler setup
Godpeed radiator

Want me to spend anymore of your money?

aha that sounds all good, already got boost and oil temp, and i just put in drilled/slotted rotors and new pads on all fours, so the rest i will get, then i still have to sell all my old ****, even the stock stuff i still have, and i will probably be spending more like 15000 now because all of this is already 10grand lol. What kind of rim+tires should i get, i dont want to get ugly ones, but ones that look nice and are light, and some big tires. And should i do the 1.8 flywheel, and clutch swap?

Buy lots of PC PRO's and Some ITB's and you'll be riding wheelies.... If I had 10 grand, I'd go buy a MOAB 1.2L twin screw SC and spend whatevers left maxing it out. You could make over 300whp with it easy. Wish my sc was a 1.2 instead of a 1.0.

If I had that kind of cash I'd just buy:

1) BEGi S2 or S3
2) Xede
3) Enthuza exhaust
4) revalved konis
5) FCM mounts
6) FCM coil over sleeves
7) 500 lb/in front and 300 lb/in rear springs
8) Sparco Sprint seats
9) Clutchnet clutch
10) lots of beer for install

and you would probably still have some cash left over...

"10 grand to blow so help me out"

oh boy. yeah I could do whatever you want in terms of manifold and/or downpipe, intercooler, etc, assuming it's not already available from BEGI, etd, etc. Doesn't make much sense to copy what you can buy already unless you wanted something tweaked (different material, thickness, whatever).

I can make a simple manifold like Paul's w/o a car, but downpipes and intercooler pipes I must have a car to fab the stuff on.

Nick (budgetracer), thanks for the offer. Maybe the 3 of us can work something out.

Time frame wise, the soonest is around mid february. I have this intercooler and a few turbos sitting in the living room for the past 4 months and Meg wants it on the car. And after ~30 years the shop is moving so that's going to eat a few weeks.

Easiest thing for you is to buy a killer BEGI setup. I'm sure I could do somethign for similar money but it won't be as easy obviously.
