Default Another silly question - MSD timng unit

I have a MSD timing controller with the Bipes RPM control upgrade. I was wondering if it is OK to install this now even without my turbo installed and still be able to drive the car?

I still have some parts to acquire and I need to send my manifold to Begi to get modified to fit my turbo but I thought that if I could install this now it would save me time later.

Yes, if installed correctly, it will have no affect on the car as it pulls timing based on MAP.

I had it on my car for months before I had my turbo. There's a note on the instructions about a wire being switched. I had to switch that wire but I have a 1.8l. I installed it first the way the instructions said and the moniter didn't light up then I switched it and it worked fine. Strange.

So I have a 1.6 do I still need to switch the wire? Also did you use the kind of connector the directions say to use to splice the wires in?
