comments / criticism on this setup please
Ok
I have decided to go "semi" diy for my build
Heres whats going into the car - 95 1600 NA with 55k miles on it - I am 3rd owner from new
WRX TD04 turbo
custom manifold and 3in downpipe going to full 3in zorst - no emissions testing here
intercooler from Ford Focus ST / Volvo
custom and simple oil and water lines
Subaru WRX injectors
Subaru STi fuel pump from the 2.5 model - should be between the 190 and 255 walbro
adjustable fuel pressure regulator
MSPNP / GM IAT / Innovate LC1
What have I forgotten ? or what could i do better with ?
Pipefathers results have sent me down the TD04 road

The stock fuel pump will flow enough fuel for 300whp... no need for yours.
Megasquirt has infinite control over injector pulse width, so no need for additional fuel pressure with the AFPR. Plus, tuning a standalone from scratch with an AFPR is gonna mean some serious dyno time and again, it's completely unnecessary if you've got big enough injectors.
I don't see it in the FAQ https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t4288/ that WRX injectors will fit in a Miata, and the WRX turbo will only be good for about 220-230whp... so you really just want a set of 440/460 from an RX7.
Otherwise the setup looks pretty standard. Other things to think about at.
Boost gauge.
Blow-off valve.
Clutch.
Fuel filter.
Full fluid change.

thanks for the advice guys - the fuel pump and afpr will get passed to the next guy - I have the subaru injectors and connectors so not fussed about that - they will FIT - I have fitted Subaru injectors into some of the toyota engines mentioned in the diy list and they fitted perfectly so I doubt there will be an issue at all - I can get an almost infinite supply of cheap subaru parts - I am tempted to "convert" a wrx tmic to a fmic somehow....
as to a boost gauge I am very tempted to get the megaview - I used to have a carpc and that was awesome or else I will just hook up a carpc again - I have all the bits except for a screen
once the clutch clips I will change it out - but I will send that out to get done
I know the wrx td04 isnt the best turbo in the world but I would like to think it would do more than 230whp - hell it does more that in a wrx with there convuluted exhaust manifolds and less than flow efficient intake manifolds, I know the wrx has more cc but surely turbo flow can make up for this ?
or should I start re thinking the cast ebay mani and a 50 trim T3 ?
is that a better bet ?
we here are at high altitude - little less than Denver and NA cars are asthamatic and this one is craving boost - input welcome on turbo choice particularly
