You have a 1.6 so the cheapest mani that won't crack in a week is going to be the ebay tacotaco. That is IT. No other mani from ebay is worth a ****.

Next step is going to be begi or fm.
Next is Artech, Absurdflow, and other VERY high quality manifolds.
Then its one off custom **** that costs well over 1k

Thats it. Those are your options. Unless you make it yourself of course.

Alternatives?
If the BEGi price is too high, you're looking at DIY, or used BEGi/FM parts. There are no low-cost alternatives that don't involve a welder.

If you aren't going to weld it yourself, the only two people who are capable of doing custom one-off Sch40 manifolds that will hold up to abuse are Abe and Tim at ABSURDflow, and neither of them are cheaper than FM or BEGi.

So, the ebay cast manifold that I posted earlier (with some cuts applied to the manifold flange to account for thermal expansion) may live? Looks like this is the answer to my original question.

Thanks. I think I might try it.

If you track it, it will crack. On a DD it will probably hold up for a fair amount of time.

Call Flyin Miata and see if they have any of their Deal of the Day manifolds left.

I just bought one for 100 dollars.
