GT3071R - Oil restrictor?

Hey guys, I'm coming to the end of my engine build and it'll be time to fire her up in the next couple of days. I just remembered reading about oil restrictors some time ago and realized I don't have one.

Do I need to run a restrictor with a gt3071r?

What I ran with GT2560/2871 and will run on GTX28...

the 2560 can be run without a restricted flow but you can use one to be safe.

negative. if it does not have one built in (never seen one built in), then you will have to run one external.

I thought garrett claimed that some of their bb turbos could be run without a restrictor. Of course you would run a higher risk of blowing the oil seals out of it.

As did I, surprisingly enough nothing serious happened. Car started to smoke alittle, put the restrictor in, smoke went away, ran turbo for a year, sold it, still works fine (3 years later)
