Hi newby here
Hi all, new around here. I'm UK based and have a MX5 which I'm about to turbo, I will be picking up a complete car next week with a greddy turbo kit, saab intercooler, a bipes and a blue vortech fuel pressure regulator. Now I'm a bit of a newby to things turbo'd so just having a look about at what my options are with this kit.
I'd like to get reasonable power, i don't need a monster as have a 400 BHP TVR Tuscan S but getting to a reasonable level would be nice.
Guessing the next stage with what i have is some sort of better ECU? I see the emanage blue is available but for not too much more can build a megasquirt, is it worth the extra on something like my project?
What sort of power levels can be achieved with this set up on a 1.6?
Paul

Look into the Adaptronic ECU that it sold by Travis, a supporting vendor on this forum. Excellent full-featured ECU at a good price.
I'll let others with Greddy kits answer those questions.
Please post many pics of the TVR so I can drool on my keyboard.
Edit: Add your location to your details under your username so people will know you are discussing a Euro-spec car in the future.

Pics of TVR please.
IMO, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't get into the MS family. I put a MSPNP, which is a ready-built,direct plug in MS1, on my 1.6/ Greddy car and it ran like a bat outta hell.
You can follow my build path if you want to make good power

I am now in midst build of a DIYPNP, which is a kit-form, direct plug in MS2, for my NB. I am almost finished. The NB build is more complicated than the NA build; if I had an older car I'd be drinkin beer already.
The MS1 path is more traveled, but after my brief exposure to MS2, I recommend going that way. It's just more feature rich. Look into building a MS2 from scratch or the DIYPNP.

Ha well thanks, the details on it? well it's a pretty standard TVR Tuscan S with Decat pipes and Carbon cans, so sounds awesome. Factory figures say 395bhp for a standard car, 0-60 is 3.6s 0-100 in 8s, top speed 195+ according to the book, seen 186 in mine as it was still climbing but slowly. Built in England and weight is only 1100 kg.

O_O my hat off to you sir. I as well as Cococarbine3 find a new respect for TVR, I didnt know they were so light. I once saw a show in which a stack of moola was taped to the dash, then the driver told the passager that during hard acceleration she was free to TRY and reach for the stack of bill.... she failed. Nice car, now get rid of that horrible style bar and get a real ******* roll bar
