I got a free turbo from a friend today. It's an IHI, roughly equivalent to a t25 (supposedly). It looks tiny for the application (1.8L). I'm trying to find maps for it before bothering to make a manifold and I can't even ID the turbo.
Attached is a pic of the serial tag, if anyone knows how to ID it or where I can find the maps I'd appreciate the help.
A T25 size turbo is alittle small for a 1.8 Not saying it wouldn't work for a low boost system but I would go with a T3ish size. I know if I had to do my turbo all over again I'd be using a T3.
Update:
I found the info one it and it's WAY too small. It would run out of stream at about 5K rpm. It was apparently built for a 1.5-1.8L diesel (which only spins to 3500 rpm), the EGT rating is high enough for gasoline but it just won't flow enough volume to do the job. Now... that said. It should work pretty sweet on a 1.0L geo metro
