You said "something something turn down boost to 8psi"

Why not pull off all the fail, return it to stock, make an accurate assessment of engine health (maybe some of that ASAP) and go forward from there?

3 bolt turbo, and that hose routed through the lift eye....

I like how the turbo and gate have most of their bolts. Also, does the gate bypass exhaust straight to the heater core hoses? Sweet way to get the heater hot on these cold days.

Are the coils just dangling off the back?

New "floating ground" technology, plus given the general apathy up in there, that coilpack bolt was never going back in there...

372hp? Did he really, honestly think anyone would buy that? How did you not laugh in his face when he said it?

Good deal. That is the greatest benefit of the MT pack of hyenas, they will shame and abuse you into doing things the right way.

Ah man, rough. As others have said, there's really very very little there worth keeping. As another asked, how's the rest of the car?

Glad you are going to part it out. That car has suffered enough.

The only thing I feel sorry is that the previous owner never got to introduce himself over here.

It is very likely the stock connecting rods are bent. It happens pretty easily with larger turbos and poor engine management. They would only be good for around 10psi or less on that large turbo with improper timing control.

As the local TV news teaser goes, "Your children may already be dead. Film at eleven."

The original owner heard that it was a good thing to reduce unsprung weight, and therefor must be even more desirable to reduce sprung weight by letting it just respond to gravity.

Dude it's only got 305cc injectors.

That thing is fucked.

We had a thread about this car on GRM.

Hopefully OP didn't pay more than scrap price.

Part that bitch out and scrap it.

Link to thread?

Really he should do a super budget ms1 build. Then boost it till it goes boom. Then swap in a 1.8 and a decent turbo setup.

IDK, right now I am at 900 for my 97. I bet I can sell off a large amount to offset picking up some used xidas. I can MS for less then $100, and should be able to turbo for mad cheap. Could be an interesting entry.
