Finalizing turbo purchases. EWG or IWG mani.
Finally sold a spare car and have the cash to order everything needed.
Never turboed a car, just had factory turbo stuff.
Already have Reverant MS2 and MTX-L installed. Been driving the car several months with zero issues.
Already have a Tial 38mm EWG, and T3 AirResearch (garret) turbo was rebuilt 2 months before I got it, got parts from a wrecked turbo miata. Not sure the size but it would push over 18psi on a 1.8.
Shooting for less than 250whp.
Was wondering if I should mess with the EWG, Or get an IWG setup for the turbo.
I could buy something like this since the turbo has the IWG hole > IWG conversion
Or just get a smaller t2 flanged churbo.
The begi cast manifold with EWG is $120 more than the standard manifold.
I want to figure out the best direction on the turbo/wg/mani before I buy flanges, and oil/water feed, etc. Got a lot of little things to buy.

If you have a good EWG, i'd go through the trouble to use it.
I would NOT go through the trouble of converting a turbo with an intact and well-functioning IWG setup to be EWG.
If you have a turbo now with no IWG and you DO have an EWG, then use it.

Decided on cast for cost/longevity. Will be a vigorously driven daily driver when the weather is nice.
I can fab my own downpipe too to save a little money.
Right now I am shopping for all the oil feed stuff which is a nightmare. AN, NPT, Metric.

For AN lines, see if you have a local hydraulic shop. If so see if they carry the parts to make them. My local shop carries Aeroquip, and will make the lines for me for free. Makes it very easy to get custom lines made, that fit properly.
