Default Not miata but BP turbo anyway.

I wanted to buy some stuff but noticed that i cant post or send PM before i have 10 posts so ill tell something about my BP turbo project to gain those 10 posts

Im rebuilding my GTX engine to handel some power
- acl bearings
- 0,5mm oversize acl hyperlite pistons
- SPM H-profile Rods
- fully ported head whit 1mm ovesize exhaust valves and bronze valve guides.
- Custom made Intake and exhaust manifold "not done yet"
- Custom made fuel rail "not done yet"
- 630cc injectors
- COP ignition
- electronic boost control
- Vems genboard 3.3
- Bosch 044 fuel pump
- GTX OIL pump whit stiffer spring
- Adjustable cam gear
- Stock cams and springs for beginning
- Chassis for this engine will be Chevrolet Ascona

There is still loads of stuff to do before engine is planted to chassis.

Picasa-verkkoalbumit - Jouni - kansi Some pics and flow charts of head. That head was lightly ported and had shitty angel job done before it was ported again. So those "before porting" charts are not from stock head.

Also i like to inform that i WTB. 5-speed tranny and oil pan what fits to 1.8 engine.

I live in finland so if someone wants to ship internationally. Let me know price including shipping fee.

What is "some power"? You could be doing this for no reason at all.

I don't think you'll get there with the stock GTX rods, nor those injectors.

I know. Thats the reason why im not using stock rods nor injectors. Like i sayd there i have SPM H-profile rods and 630cc siemens injectors what can produce ~730cc at 4bar if more juice is needed.

Are you running the Bosch 044 in the tank? I'm looking at that for an upgrade pump when I jump into my next setup.

Missed the rods. I think you should add an intake manifold to your list. You'll definitely get a greater return on all the other stuff you're doing for flow.

You also missed intake manifold. it was in same line as exhaust manifold

I will be using that pump outside of tank. There will be small reservoid tank between main tank and fuel pump. That reservoid tank will be filled whit other pump so there wont be situtation that main fuel pump dosnt get fuel when racing in track.

Where did you get your engine components? Mainly rods, pistons, and bearings. I haven't heard of them so I am thinking they could be alternatives to what most run around here.

This is a good example thread for newbs wanting to buy something too. Thanks for being respectful of our forum.

I'd suspect he's running it inline with the stock pump as a feeder.

All parts are bought from finnish resellers.
ACL HQ is located in australia. But it seems that they have resellers all over the world.
ACL Race Series - Distributors

SPM is swedish rod "manufacter". I belive they get theyr rods from china and does the machining in sweden. Dunno if they are sold internationally.
Sten Parner Motor

SI VALVES- ANTIQUE/VINTAGE ONLINE CATALOG for bronze valve guides

valves are supertech valves. Those can be bought cheaply from ebay.

Injectors, vems, fuel pump and cops are from finnish vems reseller. VEMS Shop

Adjustable cam gears are machined from the original ones.

And for m2cupcar. No need to quit because of couple misreads
That gtx manifold build looks nice. I was going to get GTR manifold until i realized it wouldnt fit :(

So im not the only finn here

Made some sort of PNP megasquirt to my friend miata. Its not true PNP because he is going to use COPs and remove MAF so we need to rewire IAT. He has one crazy miata coming. If we get it working someday ill tell more about it

Picasa-verkkoalbumit - Jouni - Pansuu There is some pics about that megasquirt i made if someone is interested.

Anyway. Im in urgend need of oil drain pipe or what the hell it is called? Oil pump sucks oil from oil pan trough it? Does anyone have one for sale or know place where i could get one. Here is so damn few miatas so there is few salvage parts available.

Some update about my friend miata. Engine internals are changed to forged stuff "rods/pistons". Head is ported and cams changed. Clutch is 2disc from AP racing. Building delayed a bit because one injector was broken.

Finally got it running good. Maybe little too good. when we were in second test drive 3rd gear gave up from gearbox

Picasa-verkkoalbumit - Jouni - Pansuu

That video is from first test drive. it was raining then so there aint much grip.

There was only 0.8bar boost at the moment. we had 470cc injectors whit 4bar fuelpressure and we are running out of juice
