god i love the mods that Honda guys do HAHAHAH!! sweet heat wrap, you cant even see wtf is going on or even if you have a oil leak or something. best wing ever, you might even fly away
but if it was me and wanted a cheap fix, i would get a wide ban O2 sensor and a voodoo box (install) and chill out for a while to learn more

Normally I would agree with your advice, but I think our candidate isn't really ready for engine management.

You have the position here of what's probably a good engine/driveline (as long as you dont boost it unitll everything is in order) and a bunch of crap you can sell on ebay to finance proper parts. So a lot of work, but not inescapable hole either.

Here is the story.
My civic... i traded it for the miata so my friend could get a mustang... im just trying to get the miata fixed, running boost or whatever the hell people would like to call it. i thought that if i asked some people that have some experience with this, i would be better off. Also. if it is actually pushing some boost, someone is more likely to buy it. I do not want to offend any one by not understanding your terms. and the wing came off an eclipse which is a Mitsubishi just so yah no. and nah. haven't flown yet =]. ill let you know when i do though

Any boost that you put through that car risks blowing up the engine. By blowing up, I mean snapping a connecting rod out the side of the block, starting a fire, and burning the car to the ground. It's that simple to say, and it's that simple to understand.
DO NOT DRIVE THAT CAR. DO NOT DRIVE THAT CAR. DO NOT DRIVE THAT CAR.
There is nothing you can do to fix the turbo system on that car, absolutely nothing. The only thing you should be doing right now is calling up the local junkyards/Craigslist/eBay and trying to find a stock intake and exhaust, and returning the car to stock. Sell whatever turbo pieces you can to fund the first good pieces of your soon-to-be well thought out and correctly installed turbo system.
This is all I will say to you ever again unless I see pics of those turbo pieces being removed.

Bro, you've been given the best advice in terms of what to do to drive your car. Disconnect the wastegate arm, which will bypass any boost, and leave you running stock AKA not hurting anything.
Now it sounds to me like you have buyer's remorse which is understandable. The question is, is it due to the car itself (not feeling it) or the parts/condition OF the car (no boost, thought it was ready to roll, etc)?
If you feel that you'd be happy with the car if it was running properly, then disconnect that wastegate. Then spend any and all free time here reading and learning. Believe me you'll have lots of "ooooooooooooooh I get it now, thats actually simple" moments. In the meantime, you can recruit some local help, make friends, and in time order what you need and get it running right. It may take you way less than 6 months to put that all together and have a decent ride. You can turn this all around and abuse your ******* friend and his mustang IF you commit to it. If you think your going to read a few more days, spend $500, and get it going you're wrong. If you think it's gonna take you 6 months before you can do anything at all, you're wrong. It really all depends on you.
PS--to the OP and the group, I have to wonder about the health of the motor thinking about how long the prev owner ragged on it in current form...eeeeek

i'm not driving the car. Im taking it to this place in greenville, throwing the car in there shop, telling them to fix everything. get me whatever i need etc etc... that way it will be running fine. Also buyers remorse on the part where it's only two seater. But i like the car, just miss the back seat part. Not a very functional car being a teenager with a good many friends. and my friend has driven it 300 miles since the **** turbo was put on.

Make sure that this 2nd shop knows what they're doing and is familiar with forced-induction Miata, and going that way sounds like wallet rape.
Given the situation and that you are willing to tell someone "fix all of this no matter what", it might be more sense to order a BEGI shanghai or FM kit and give it to this said shop and have them install it. At least this way, you know the hardware is good and you have vendor support.

Okay, today I unwrapped the headers and disconnected the "C" clip that sixshooter has talked about, it runs great. Kind of happy with it. But now I'm eager to see what the turbo part feels like. I'm saving money and trying to listen and lean. Sorry for all the inconvenience i have caused.
Thanks!

Save up a small emergency money fund before you start plopping down money on parts. A turbocharger suddenly becomes disposable if you lose your job and can't afford to eat because you bought a $99 part everytime you had $100 while you had a job. Few things hurt worse than selling a part for $300 after you paid $800 because you have to have the money NOW!
I think ChuckyZ would agree!!

No worries with money. I live with my mom and I'm still in school so I will always have a way to go, money to eat with, and a roof over my head. But I get what ya mean. I have not spent any money yet. I am hopefully getting some money later on today to buy the air/fuel guage and some injectors that Sixshooter has mentioned and showed to me.
