Default limits of VDII

I am waiting on my VDII to arrive for my 10AE. Live in Dallas and have 93 Octane. First turbo install and new at this ****. I know I am limited but is it possible to reach 200whp with stock timing? with a VDII ?

I can't upgrade to larger injectors using stock ECU is that correct? With no ignition retard I am kind of stuck at around 190 whp I am afraid of.

It seems like to raise the power level from 190 whp safely I am going to have to get some sort of wideband for a/f, larger injectors and some type of engine management to retard my timing and add fuel, is that correct? Then were talking some money...

QUESTION >>> Where do you go from a VDII for more power (say 215whp) cheaply ?

Larger injectors, Exede, Hydra... were talking $1700.00 to $2000.00 for 40 more hp and or beyond... more HP then I will ever use... my sweet spot is 210-220 hp... sure seems like cost of the ticket is high... any suggestions

hell I dont even have the kit yet... any feedback, direction I am all ears

thanks

have you ever driven/ridden in a 190rwhp Miata? Its pretty freakin quick man. I'd just put the kit on first and worry about more later if you even think you need it.

by all means do what you like, you know you'll want more. But if you're planning on getting the Xede/Hydra etc, then why not skip getting the voodoo kit and just save for the real computer?

Woulda helped if you asked this kinda stuff before you ordered it.

Screw the Voodoo Box. See if FM will let you change your mind and get the kit "no electronics". Isn't it like $500? $500 will get you a pnp PC Pro, which is more capable than the VooDoo (but still only a "fuel adder" that won't let you go with larger injectors), most of a pnp emanage ultimate kit, or half of an Xede (it's only $1000 if you order it without injectors).
