piping thread
I'm thinking about making my downpipe and intercooler piping.
Can you guys post pics of what you have (how you plumbed the IC) and what it cost to get it put together? I'm not very good with a mig, so I plan on paying someone to do this work.

Here's a pic of my coldside.
90* coupler $19
2" 45 pipe bend (cut in three pieces) $17
90* coupler $19
Samco T-coupler $50
90" 2"-2.5" $32
Brass 90* for idle air $4
Heater hose for idle air $.50
T-bolt clamps: 6x2.50= $15
Not exactly cheap, but, but no welding required... and clean!

Downpipe is two part- first is 3" sched 40 weld els, second 16ga mild steel with flex section. I opted to section part of the car to make space since I was running an internal gate and the engine swap left little space.
Weld els (2 3" bends and 1 straight 2.5") - $50
Flanges (t3 exit and 3" exhaust) - $23
O2 bung - $2.50
Tubing - $12
Hot side IC pipe runs through the fender to the IC. Cold side runs up next to the rad, directly to the tb. Required a narrower radiator. I've probably got about $40 in 2.5" mild steel tubing and $40 in hose connectors and clamps.

Some of the stuff has changed a bit, but the concept is the same. - rob
