I need a better oil drain clamp
These shitty *** auto whatever clamps aren't cutting it for my 1/2" oil drain line. I've looked around JEGS for a bit but can't find anything a little bit thicker and heavy duty that your typical autozone clamp. These little ******* don't tighten down hard enough and start spinning freely. I thought I remembered seeing hose clamps that were 3-4 times wider than your normal hose clamps....Thanks.

Or build an AN line with reusable hose ends from summitracing. an-8 I think. I bought stainless steel hose for the heat protection up by the turbo. Straight on one end, 45* on the other, into 1/2npt-an8 adapters. The 45* had to be bashed to a 37* bend to clear the steering column.

Try a t-bolt clamp. They're thicker too. Might be hard to find that small, but it's something to search for. NAPA also has "constant torque" clamps which can hold much better. The worm is also covered so it doesn't dig into the hose. Ask for those.
They're kinda in between standard clamps and t-bolt clamps

I was thinking about getting some of these:
FUEL INJECTION HOSE CLAMPS 10 PC.S FOR 3/8" ID FI HOSE : eBay Motors (item 200332310359 end time Mar-12-10 05:30:53 PST)
It says it has a clamping diameter of 9/16 to 5/8...which would meet my hose diameter of 1/2...

You can get that style of clamp at any auto parts store. They're generally referred to as fuel injection hose clamps. Certainly no reason to pay $10.45 for them and wait for shipping.
Not sure if they'll have the size you need. Even 5/8" seems pretty small to me for an oil drain line. Remember, those clamps are sized for the outside diameter of the hose.
