I would need to know a little more about your car to help you, but i would try checking for a boost leak, if you are using one of Stephanie maps with the proper injectors..

I pressurized my system and found many leaks! I was amazed.

Who do we have to annoy around here to get a forum of our own?

Here is my build thread: https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t27300/
Last night with Stephanie's help. the car ran smooth at idle, did not die during stops with clutch in or in neutral. The A/F meter was reading 12 at idle and 14 during cruising. I did not go into boost enough to watch what it does.
I ordered a Dynoscan based on Stephanie's advice, but at this point, my knowledge about tuning is zero.
According to the Innovate website, the WBO2 would read 'lean' if the car is running rich. Based on the black soot coming out at idle, I think I am. I may also have an exhaust leak but I am not sure since I have only been able to work on the car at night and I can't see that much in the garage.
How do you pressurize your system and check leaks?? Any other input would be appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Seems easy enough to make.
How can I check for exhaust leaks? Is there something like that for that problem?

I found something on chevy website about exhaust test - do you think this would work?
"have a partner hold a rag over the tip....restricting but not stopping exhaust flow. Then get under it with a bug sprayer full of soapy water....of course...only on a cold block/exhaust."
