Deatschwerks Pump Question

Deatschwerks Pump Question
For my SSM car, this spring at Lincoln I swapped from the Walbro 255HP to the Deutchwerks 300 since it looked like my Walbro was failing. It turns out it was something else, but I didn't have much time (was swapping it between run groups at the ProSolo) when I assembled it, so I had some questions that I forgot to deal with until now...
For one, there didn't seem to be any sort of rubber isolator. It only came with a metal piece to screw to the bottom (to hold it up/nonrotated), nothing rubber, and the sock fit on without anything positively securing it. On the stock and Walbro pumps, the isolator held the tab on the sock on, but on the Deutchwerks, this wasn't the case. I've been getting fuel starving pretty reliably on autocross runs with 1/3 of a tank or less since then, so I'm figuring something's very wrong.
Tomorrow I'm gonna actually pull the pump out of the tank, and I'm wondering if the sock came off or something, but either way, does the above sound right to anyone, or am I missing something?..

Had a spare few minutes and pulled the pump out today. Surprisingly, the sock's still attached, and also, with a hair over a quarter of a tank of gas, the gas level is up above the plug on top of the pump, so unless sloshing is a huge problem, it looks like the pump should be getting fuel even this low in the tank...
Here's two angles of the pump. Does anything obvious jump out at anyone that I did anything stupid?

Zip ties? When I just put my 044 in I used stainless hose clamps. It looks like your zip ties are already being effected by the gas since they are discoloring. I bet they have also started to get brittle. You didnt happen to cook a fp relay and melt the connector to it did you? Thats what was wrong with my fuel pump, so I didnt actually need to replace it I dont think.
