Default Dumb fuel line question

I'm nearing completion on a VVT swap into my NA6, and I was smart enough to mark feed/return lines on the chassis, but like an idiot, neglected to do so for the fuel rail.

I'm using the NA6 regulator on an NA8 rail. There is one line directly into the rail, and another into the regulator. Can anyone tell me which is which is feed and which is return?

I've searched all over, but can't find any reference or a flow diagram...

The return connects to the regulator. Same on every fuel injected car with a return fuel system

usually the line coming off the FPR is the return, but I am also having a hard time finding out for sure.

Thanks guys. That's what I figured, 'cause it makes sense, just couldn't confirm it anywhere. Poscats for the quick answer!
