I want to see dyno numbers. This is probably a lot cheaper than a custom IM.

Looks great! Have you checked the flange for straightness?

Looks great!

I've never had it warp so much that a few passes on a belt sander doesn't flatten it right back. I do bolt the flange to a 3/4" thick aluminum plate while welding though.

Normaly I would not discuss price on the forum, but with as much interest as there is in this here it is.

Skunk 2 TB - $250
Skunk 2 Manifold - $230
Ftjandra flange - $150
Abe's awesome work - $ask him (Don't know if he wants to charge more than he charged me since it was his first one, and I don't want anyone to hold him to the price he gave me.)
Still need TB hose, and TPS sensor and other misc items. No more than $100

So far I'm out $730 before labor. I could have done a knock off manifold for $150, or a stock GSR manifold for ~$50-$100. I could have also done a knock off TB for $150, or a stock TB for ~$25-$50. I would never use another flange, because Ftjandra's flange was the ----.

I would say a complete top of the line Honda intake manifold with TB would cost ~$1000

Thank you Allen, for the opportunity.

My labor was $200. That's what I originally quoted because I thought it would be a simple cut/weld job. If I'd known I'd have to use offset spacers and fit them down into the recessed flange I probably would have quoted it a little higher.

The flange did warp some. I tried to straighten it on the belt, but the aluminum kept galling and gumming up. I'll try again with some lubricant, and if that doesn't work, it'll go to a machine shop to be milled flat.

Are you guys really still looking for Honda dyno charts? I posted before-and-after charts like 2 years ago with the Honda IM on Theseus.

The TPS/IAC/throttle cable compatable with this? (just went through hell connecting a four wire IAC to a 1990) Obviously splice on new plugs, but same amount of wires? Throttle bracket let the stock cable work?

Any estimate on when the honda manifold would start to nose over? I know it's good for 7400 rpm, but I'm curious about beyond that (n/a, cams, ect).

More info = better understanding.
As it is right now I don't think we have more than like 5 documented before/after plots.

actually the hondas these are meant for spin to 8-9k with ease without any drop off or choking.

these exceed the flow a miata engine is capable of.

No idea on nose over. I saw flat torque to 6k but I won't even begin to speculate on what causes the drop past that point.

Miata throttle cable works, expect to build your own bracket for it. B18 throttle bodies are 3-wire TPS. I do not have an idle valve.

From what i've read the idle valve should be pretty much plug and play...expect to have to retune closed loop idle of course. I have honda idle valve and such sitting around, but still waiting on motor to put it all on.

Awesome. I'm hoping that this manifold is good to about 8600rpm or so. Just put down a deposit for an IM and exhaust from Abe. Just need to get an ECU from Brain. Gogo comparatively cheap n/a build.

Somehow i never subbed for this thread even though i've looked at it like 5-6 times on different occasion BSSSSS.. Soooo when are we going to get vtec cams too?

Also seeing that xfactor has the short runners, perhaps a 1-2" adapter that converts honda to mazda manifold flange that will also lengthen the runners to lower the power band range.
