a half mile isn't very long at that speed
The GTs barely get up to 200 in a standing start mile (been to the Texas Mile, I know). If you were doing sane speeds (below 100mph), which the GT gets up to within 1/4mile, then you would have needed more than another 3/4 of a mile to get up to 190 -plus braking distance-.
No problem having fun once in a while (although there is a reason they have events like the Texas Mile so idiots don't do that **** on the street), no problem telling a little yarn...but let it go when you've been called out.
Poor GT owner...shouldn't have gone to Nico's.

Without pics/vid....it NEVER happened.
If it did though I bet it was hella fun! I'm not big on clowns doing triple digits on public roads(I DON'T take mine over 100mph regardless of how bad I wanna catch that Mustang/G35/S2000), and I'm not a big fan of shops abusing customer cars.
But I would've done the same damn thing.

it was a once and a life time chance to take that car for a ride so it had to be done and i never beat on customers cars really drive them for fun unless there a reason as in the ford gt but the guy is also a friend of the family so yaa next time he come in which should be soon for a tune up seeing how that guy has 20k on it and i told him he should do it ever 30k or every 3 years which ever comes first. so next time ill get video of hitting 200 to make every one happy maybe ill even bring it to the airstrip and strap some wings on and prep for take off

(Texas Mile likely has accurate speed measurement devices. The indicated 190 in the ford was probably substantially less.) But, you gotta think about this story.. a guy brings his ford GT to a gas station for service where the only guy left who has a valid licence will take it out and hit top speed on the highway.

Stop while you are ahead kid, you didn't even have a damn license 3 years ago. And why don't you at least try to use proper spelling and grammar, you make yourself look even more retarded than just being a liar....

Sorry I dont have carnage pics yet but i have a few shots of my "new" engine. Its from a 94 ford escort GT that had 54k miles on it when it was t-boned. Got it for $320 including tax, tolls, & Gas. Inside is super clean. Ill work on the carnage pics after exams tomorrow....

And:
come on nothing is better then taking a 06 ford gt for a test drive after i got done doing tires on it and hitting 190mph on a 55mph highway got to love the Marriott parkway no exit zone and the lack of state troopers. best part was the tire spin in three gear doing 75-85 mph but once the tires were warm they never let loose 315/40-19 in the back
zoomin my step dad owns the gas station were i did the tires and if you look at the web site we have you will see that i am not bsing when i say i did drive that car http://www.nicosforeigncar.com/ stamford and greenwich is is filled with nothing but rich people and we get all the fun cars in and plus im the only one at the gas station with a valid drivers license i would have video for you but my phone got stolen back in April so i don't any more
im not old but i feel old when i started getting faster back in 06 i felt i had something to prove. Im 25 going 26 soon and when i look back im surprise i didn't kill myself.... with some of the insane speeds i reached would i do it now no i have invested $1,000's now that i don't want to see put to rest...
my turbo setup is for weekend use and track use only do i get temped yes but it not worth loosing my MX-3 nor mine or any life... like the saying young dumb and full of ***
.. when u see yourself through your eyes at someone younger u realize how stupid u look and acted...

I just got an email pointing me to this thread, and informing me that the locals have apparently taken an interest in 1990miata1.6's purported escapades.
