if +1.5 hp at 4500 is preferable to +15 hp at 7000, then vtcs is life.

I like that midrange bra! That 1.5hp makes passing people on the interstate so much easier.

I sent you an email about possibly testing my begi cast intake manifold.

Oooh, I'm curious about the begi. From their site, you'd expect it to be like the flattop only more so (more midrange losses for more high end gains).

The Begi IM I have is not what they have shown on their site. It is an older product that was discontinued due to not having a good foundry to make them.

So who is going to get a container of these things shipped over and start selling them at a decent price?

If you can wait about 5 months, we will have a better option.

I am assuming that you are focusing development more on naturally aspirated miatas over forced induction miatas?

Can do. I'm years from being a good enough driver for it to matter in any case.

Doesn't matter. It might be possible to make a wee bit more power either way with a one-off manifold but ours will be affordable and OTS. It will be the best solution regardless your induction type.

FTFY

Really I'm just angry because I just bought a squaretop and I'll have to remind myself to sell it before the inevitable crash in prices.

New page Im going to re-post this graph. It seems to me that it is very likely if you add the VCTS manifold to this mix it would very likely beat both of these slightly from say ~3500-5000 and only loose some to the flat top above ~6800-7000 rpm assuming stock head and cams. I'm leaning toward the VCTS for a CSP build as it might beat the flat top where it's needed most.
